Totally agree... It just astounds me! Come on folks - Know what you are carrying.
Although we did know someone that had packed edible underwear in a pocket of their suitcase for a Hawaii trip that never got used.
Fast forward a year... Her mom borrowed the suitcase for a European cruise. Mom returned very happy about her and her daughter's oversight.
In all seriousness there are also different prescriptions that are legal in the USA that are illegal in foriegn countries. A customs agent does not care that your doctor prescribed an illegal substance in his country. This oversight may greatly impact your vacation.
