Thursday-Feb. 15th

Don't want to bore all of you so I'm going to make it short.

On Tuesday, 1/30, we left our house at 6:15 AM to catch our flight to SXM. We flew from BWI (Baltimore/Washington) on AA frequent flier miles with a change in Miami. The trip was uneventful with no mishaps. Arrived in SXM around 2:30 PM and the gentleman from Dollar was waiting for us. No problem with the car rental in fact they upgraded us. Headed over to the French side to check into the hotel LaPlantation. Was at first not to happy with the location of the villa so Julie let us check out a few more villas to see if we would like the location better and we decided that we would stay where we were assigned. The studio was adequate with a large room, bathroom and kitchenette area with a stove, refrig and sink. The only thing that the room was lacking was more light. We had a corner unit so the deck wrapped around the whole side. Unpacked and checked out the area. Breakfast was included with the room rate.
