Flight down on AA Friday morning.was very eventful! To our suprise and delight Contessa was sitting next to my crazy friend Dick! I just knew it was her when I heard her talking to Dick, I asked her point blank if she was THE Contessa and she couldnt believe I guessed who she was.
Contessa is a fountain of information. I felt like I met Royalty from this board!!! Shopping at Rimas was amazing ( thanks for this one). Everthing you can buy at the beach is half the price here. Got all the kids and grandkids done in one easy stop.
Stayed at Villa Suzanne in Dawn Beach Estates. The villa was amazing! The art, the furniture, the beds!! Especially the pool, even unheated it was very refreshing.Wouldnt have wanted it any warmer. The downside to this beautiful Villa was the construction of the Westin just below it. There was noise from 7 AM till 7PM every single day. that means Sunday!!! They even worked at night pouring concrete. We tried to ignore it a few days and hung around the pool , . Walked to Dawn Beach late afternoons for a swim Also went to Orient. I just had to have Andy's mussels at Baywatch. Thanks to Contessa and peconic we found him this year. What a character he is. Stayed infront of his place for the day. Beautiful Beach, but we still love Dawn Beach, it is way less crowded.,sometimes we were the only ones there.
The mosquitoes were awful this year at the villa. Dont remember even getting bit last year and we stayed at Bell'Mare which is a stones throw away.

Tabba Khady- The best meal of the trip 4 appt. 4 dinners 2 bottles of wine $150.00 They will do 1 for 1 if you pay in cash.
le planteur- The worst meal of the trip. ( for me) my friends liked it. Very expensive $200.00 for 3 appt. 4 dinners and 2 bottles of wine
Daniels by the Sea- Just OK slow service , no one smiles at this resturant or Mr. Busbys. I wonder if its the same crew????
Pinapple Petes- Excellent! the best Lobster thermadour I have ever had. Little pricy $32 for that dish. total $195.00 for 4 apt. dinners and drinks
Sunset Cafe - Very good food and service. They also do 1 for 1 euro. had the filets and Dover sole. 2 bottles of wine $ 200.00
Turtle Pier- great breakfast
Holland House- great breakfast
Baywatch- great mussels and linguine with clam sause, also good drinks and great service from Adrien. Left our beach bags and went in the water and he told us not to worry. we didnt, and had no problems
Friers Bay- Kalis bar - SLOWWWWW. I had to ask for ice for my beer!!! The food is awful. Had fish fillet sandwich which looked like it came from burger king! There were 2 bugs in Gregs marguritta, and they laughed when I pointed out the reason for a full drink on the table when we got the check. $ 100 for lunch only 2 drinks and sandwiches. They dont do 1 for 1. Last time we will go there.
TOTO party ( sorry guys thats what Greg calls it ) It was fun to put faces to names! Met peconic and and others I cant remember all the names!! Of cource Contessa was there. I feel like we are old friends!
The island was beautiful, yes there is trash and abandoned cars on the side of the roads, but hey who cares. look at the positives. The views coming down the mountains are breathtaking. The beaches are awesome. The positives far outway the negatives. Saw no crime, never felt unsafe, will be back!!
