I couldn't agree more. It is inconsiderate of those who will rent that unit after you are gone and who may not be cat lovers. Few things are more annoying on vacation than to "inherit" a patio full of demanding stray cats that have been conditioned to receive handouts at that location. We've even had them try to get into our unit, presumably because a previous tenant fed them indoors. Be a good neighbor, leave them to fend for themselves, and direct your good intentions to supporting a local animal shelter. My two cents.
