Wed - Windy - overcast - I figured a perfect day to climb the peak. We saw so much. There were hermit crabs and big, big butterflies. Mr. National Geographic pointed out a "walking-stick" bug, and he saw another snake. One sad note - as we were walking down, we met another family on their way up - and they had a butterfly net with some of the hermit crabs in it. We always teach the kids not to touch - for the benefit of the environment & all in it. They were the first to comment about this. Later, off to Leverick for a well-deserved lunch & mini shopping trip. Back home to "waste" more time at Adagio.
Thur - perfect snorkelling day - and "the Mama" hadn't had enough underwater time. Had a remarkable day - and met "soncijo" on the beach. She showed me where she had just seen 3 turtles - and I went to follow in her path - but I found a barracuda instead. Took each of the kids on another tour underwater. Mr. National Geographic spots a BIG spider. We took 20 pictures of the spider. Wonderful day again.
Fri - cannot bring myself to pack. Wave action at Mahoe Bay prohibits any snorkelling today. Sure glad we went the day before. We now notice our camera. Water got in - and ruined the memory card. The rest of the day is spent crying (literally). In my mood - we decided against going to the Jumbies - and go back to the Sugar Cane up at Nail Bay. They were wonderful to the kids - and we really enjoyed the location & atmosphere. (They also make a stiff rum punch - & this day I needed it.)
Sat - Puerto Rico - Mall of America after the best lunch ever at "Metropol". Sleep.
Sun - 13 hours home to Calgary. Windchills of nearly -20!!What??? Now, that's a jolt to the system when you only have a hoodie!!
Note - Adagio was a wonderful villa for us. We really liked the location (Mahoe Bay cannot be beat) and it was "kid friendly" (Pool depth, etc) The on-site management, and Gordaguy2 were very, very helpful through all the planning process, etc. If we go back (when we go back) we will stay here again - and cannot say enough.
Thanks everyone for all the help - we had a wonderful time <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Banana.gif" alt="" />
