We charter our own boat about 60-70% of the time. When we travel out of a different base we usually charter a boat identical to ours but on occasion we will upgrade to a larger boat. Owning and chartering works great for us.. but we are in the fortunate group that could be sure the boat $ balance at the end of contract is $0.
