Weather was 83 enough clouds to keep cool but lots of sunshine too. Very little rain showers. Some of us stayed at Royal Palm (totally repaired from Omar including restaurant) One daughter stayed across Simpson Bay at Flamingo-also in great shape except for a couple of 1st floor units. My sister stayed (by mistake) over at Dawn Beach next to the beautiful Hotel Westin.
Traffic was bad as usual especially around "rush hour"
We had Thanksgiving Dinner at Tropicana in Marigot right on the water. It was FANTASTIC! We have been there many times over the last 25 years. Orient Beach was great as always. The family includes 2 year old to 80 year old and everyone enjoys Lees near the bridge. Also great breakfast at the Yacht Club at the bridge-can watch all the ships up close during the morning "opening" Only not so good meal was at The Boathouse where new management is working out kinks I guess. We had good success at Hertz with 4 different vehicles including a 9 passenger Hundai for $65 per day and brand new.
Mosquitoes were not bad as long as the wind was blowing which of course is most of the time. I was VERY concerned before going, but didn't have a problem.
Also the whole group went on a day sail to Prickly Pear. 2 year old, 5 year old, 10 year old and the 80 year old.
