We used Bush's Boston Beans, two large regular and two large with Maple. We used Buffalo Trace Bourbon, probably more expensive than needed for this but Buffalo Trace is very flavorful and it is what we like to use when cooking. Buffalo Trace also makes a great Whiskey and Coke.
