I'd hardly call it a mini-mall, but I get your point. It could be a preview of things to come. Beyond the new structures is Kon Tiki and that can hardly be seen as funky, but there's a lot of room down the beach for more structures like the ones next to Pedro's. Hopefully, if the people in charge decide to build any more permanent structures they will be built with a lot more communication with the tenants and an understanding of what made the beach a draw for the visitors.
