I haven't posted this in a year or two. Tis a little expensive to make but sooooo good... great for any barbecues, picnics, etc.
Carl's Favorite Summer Salad (cfss)
Ingredients: 1 head lettuce 1 head cauliflower 1 head broccoli 1 large red onion 6 oz Swiss cheese (grated) 6 oz cheddar cheese (grated) 1 lb bacon Parmesan cheese (½ cup?) Dressing: 1 pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch dressing (original recipe) 2 cups mayonnaise 2 tbsp sugar 1/4 cup milk
Shred and mix the garden vegetables into a LARGE container. Cook and crumble the bacon along with the cheeses over the top of the vegetables. Make the dressing and pour over the top (do not mix); sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil and refrigerate (12-24 hours?). This step is NOT necessary, except for "ahead" preparation.
Just before serving, mix all the ingredients with large spoon or by hand.
