I think we were very lucky all the way around since we booked everything just 2 weeks out. I would not recommend the last minute method anywhere close to "the in season". The View was the perfect Monument Valley hotel and there are only a couple of options, Gouldings had a vacancy but after looking at both we were happy with The View, but would stay at Gouldings for sure .
