Any thoughts on this itinerary for our charter in early July would be welcome. Yeah, I know, subject to change and all that...but I like to plan.

Sat: Sleep aboard @ DYC Fat Hogs Bay
Sun: Key Bay or White Bay Peter Is (one of my favorites)
Mon: dive (hopefully) then north sound
Tue: full day north sound (dive/baths by car)
Wed: Anegada
Thu: JVD
Fri: Sandy Cay then Benures or Soldier Bay Norman Is.
Sat: Return Boat to Fat Hogs Bay

Want to do some diving, show my wife some of the main attractions i.e. the baths (probably my 10th trip, but her first), and mix in a couple more secluded anchorages.

Regarding Anegada, I have never had a problem getting into the main mooring field in a mono, but this year our boat will draw 6'9" (I think). I haven't been since 2012 and I'm having a hard time picturing where the deeper draft boats anchor. Purchased Walker's approach chart but still a little confused on the best spot to drop the hook. Probably will be obvious when we get there, but any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Sean

Per Walker, "The deepest spot at Setting Point is to the east of the green inner buoy, and south of the government dock at position N18 43.050 W64 22.870. This spot is over 10 feet deep, and there is eight feet or more of water from the inner green buoy to this location. However, there is a "bump" with just under 8 feet depth just to the west of the green buoy, roughly half way between the position of the inner red buoy and the green buoy. You can safely avoid this spot by leaving the innermost red buoy to port by a boatlength or so when entering the anchorage."

So I just realized I'm returning the boat on Sunday, not on Saturday, so I have one more "bonus" day to play with. Thinking either Marina Cay or Savannah Bay. Is Lee Bay on Great Camanoe a nice anchorage? Have never been there.

You will have to be either extremely lucky or foolhardy to get a boat with a 6'9" draught into Savannnah Bay. Lee Bay is a lovely anchorage but only room for 2-3 boats, so first come, first served.

Consider two nights at Anegada... we usually do that.

This might give you some ideas for secluded spots.
BVI secluded spots.

We love Lee Bay and Cam Bay (you can walk to it from the beach at Lee Bay) but I wouldn't try Cam Bay with a deep keel.

Normally, I'd say you're trying to do too much but with 10 trips you already know you can get to anywhere in the BVI in less than a day so have at it!

Life involves risks, take some prudent ones (NOT with the BVI ferries)!
