I haven't seen many posts about the ferry service this summer so am cautiously optimistic that there has been at least some sort of daily service available. If anyone has experienced no service or greatly delayed service I'd like to hear about it. Headed down on August 9. Thanks!

They seem to have been more reliable in the past months..family just came in on a 3.30 Smith's from CA and it was fine..been watching both blue and green boats come and go with some regularity from Soper's..

Been wondering that myself. I get in at 12:52 and Native son seems to be running a 1:30 out of CA for the festival week. My personal best touch down to Blyden terminal is 43 minutes so that's looking iffy.

Doubt the 130 will leave much before 2. Made it many times.

Glenn, we arrived on a 12:52 flight and made it with time to spare. Had two painkillers in me before we boarded the ferry. And yes, it didn't leave CA until almost 2:05 pm.

Was taking RTFF yesterday morning at 7 am, but Native Son was doing the run instead. Must compliment the crew. They were so helpful and polite. Boat left on time. Native Son also did the 4:15 return from CA - left on time again and must rave about the same crew again. We had some "walking wounded" aboard and they were wonderful helping the disabled on and off.

I think I jinxed the system! After numerous reports of fairly normal ferry service we arrived at the terminal in St. Thomas for the 8:30AM Road Town Fast Ferry to Road Town to learn that none of the ferries left Road Town this morning so there would be no morning ferry back to Tortola. Further inquiries revealed that none of the companies knew when their next Tortola bound boat was leaving. Possibly 1:30 or 3:30 but nothing definite. We started making plans to go via Red Hook and St. John but as we were about to leave for Red Hook, RTFF told us they would have a boat leaving CA at noon. So, we're enjoying a lovely morning at the Petite Pump Room and hoping there really will be a noon boat. Soon come, I'm sure. There are certainly worse places to spend a Wednesday morning!!
