We have chartered sailing cats before but for our next charter our crew would prefer a power cat since they own large power boats. Has anyone chartered a Moorings 514pc? I would love to hear about your experience on the boat. Does the saloon have enough overhead for someone that's 6'5"? Are the forward berths large enough to to be comfortable for a couple if one is 6'5"? The boat looks spacious and the upper deck seems like a great place to hang out. Thanks for any advice you could offer.

Chartered the 433pc. Very spacious. The 51 should be as well. Great layout and easy to drive. Enjoy your trip.

I'm 6'5" and we had a 51pc in the Leeward Islands for 18 days. No problem with the head room or any of the berths. It is a very spacious vessel with a very large flybridge....you will have a great trip.
Cheers,
Billy

It is essentiall the same boat as the Moorings 4800 Sail Cat. We love that boat - lots of room, lots of storage..etc. The biggest plus to the power cat is the upper deck. And the forward cockpit is great too.

You'll have a great time!

The hulls and cabin are the same as the 4800 so comments on that boat would apply.

One notable thing about power cats is the lack of rigging at the bow. Makes mooring a lot easier.
