I thought this area was designated a wildlife refuge. A couple of years ago we retold the building wouldn't be destroyed. I wonder if a new complex is planned for there?

I did not see it in an online version, but the demolition of the hotel proceeded yesterday. Apparently there was an agreement between the contractor and local businessmen to allow the local people to haul away the debris. According to the DH, the area will be returned to it's natural state and will be a park. I do not know what that means exactly, in terms of whether there will be even any restrooms constructed there.

A park--that sounds good.

Any word on Tropical Wave? I sincerely hope they left that alone.

I do not know, although my understanding is that the Collectivite' intended to make him move out. There was nothing in the DH about him in these stories.

Tropical Wave is staying. They came to some kind of an agreement.
