Yep. Marina Puerto del Rey. And it appears that they only have power charters--no sailboats.

We stayed there for 4 days waiting for parts from West Marine. The marina is huge and very reasonable docking fees. The marina is so big they pick you up in golf carts to get to the office.

True dat! One time we were all the way out on the last dock at the end of the T (close to the Marina entrance) and I swear it was close to a mile walk from the boat to the marina office. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Spook.gif" alt="" />

The diesel prices are the best around though, and they sell greenies right there at the fuel dock! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Thumbsup.gif" alt="" />

and I believe either water or electric is free, which ever is not free is very inexpensive. They also have cable TV, if you have about 25' of coax, of course we do. There is a car rental in the marina, very convenient.

Onsite rental car was Thrifty, but they moved this year. It looks like the new operator is Allied. Even with 11% sales tax we did well stocking up at the wonderful Ralph's Food Warehouse.

We visited Puerto Del Rey last year and liked it. You need to bring proof of insurance along with pretty much all of your documentation to the office when you check in the first time. Once you setup your account it is easier to check in.

Its a clean marina with good staff. We were not charged for water or power, which made it the cheapest marina we've been to between PR, VIs and St. Martin. Still, it is a very large place and

Cheers, RickG

Looks like Dream Yacht Charters is also opening a base out of Puerto Del Rey: https://www.dreamyachtcharter.com/new-base-puerto-rico/. Just one boat so far but it is a sailboat - more or less. So, now we have two big name companies joining SailCaribe and chartering out of PR.
