Hi all

We will be down in November on my friend's brand new cat.

I am curious, are their are any unique ceremonies, rituals, customs that are special to the BVI's for christening new craft? Something you have done to make it festive?

On my list is to have champagne and ready when we arrive but other than that I am looking to TTOL for ideas about the first sail.

Thanks!

Karen

We've done a renaming ceremony, but not a christening. That's rather a different keg of beer.

Cheers, RickG

Rick, we did a renaming party and had a great time. We Googled boat renaming and there were several. We are going on our 7th year and no major incidents <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />

No clever ideas here. But it sounds like a "Caddyshack" scene in the making! Have a great time.
