I've been getting the message saying "your connection is not private" (on my Chromebook) all day today when I try to log onto The Daily Herald's website. Has anyone else had this problem? Suggestions?

I've been getting the same message. I have no idea how to work around it.

Have you tried rebooting your machine? Sometimes SSL certificates expire and are not renewed properly. Never hurts to shut things down and start up fresh.

I might also suggest a more descriptive subject line than "Daily Herald".

You're trying to make a secure connection, https://thedailyherald.sx, and their security certificate expired on 9/22/16. They need to renew it. If you change the URL from https to http you'll connect with no error, but it will be an unsecured connection. If you're just reading news and not exchanging any sort of personal info such as credit card numbers then you should be fine.

For more info on http vs. https see:

It appears they have renewed their SSL certificate and the message is no longer appearing.
