This is bizarre? Figured somebody else would of posted this first. Got a letter from them stating quote "clarification is needed since you may have heard rumors by the internet about the sale of the Sapphire beach club. These rumors are completely false and inaccurate. Letter went on too say that its not for sale. I thought there was an article in the Daily Hearld about the the Sapphire for sale? Person or party put money down? This doesnt make sense at all. This has me very concerned about whats going on there. They are wanting payment for Supplemental Budget which has been brought up in here a few months ago and posted. I get that but dont understand the letter unless they are right? Mabye it was never for sale, or internet was wrong? Anyone else get this letter?

well I should have noticed it did say about the sale of the Sapphire, not the rumors of it being for sale. Still a little strange I think this letter. There is probably more too it than this. One more thing I thought the court ruled in favor of the person buying it? Gessshhhhh this gets more complicated as I type.

Pretty sure there is an upcoming court date to ensure the sale goes through. I think the current owner is trying to get one over people.

Do a search here for "Sapphire Beach". Make sure you put in the quotes when you do the search. Lots of weird stuff going on there, yes. Supposedly there was a contract for sale, which a court has ruled is a valid contract, but previous owners aren't honoring, etc.

Verdier trying to squeeze out the last dime before he's forced to sell. None of this $$$$$ will go back into the property.

I said the exact same thing on a previous thread regarding this assessment. Anyone sending in a payment to those thieves can just kiss the money good bye. I know as an owner, it must be hard when they say your unit will be foreclosed on if not paid, but if I still owned there--I would not pay.

The letter is a crock. They, too, live in "their own reality."

The issue is they are still the legal owners and they can foreclose if they want until the ownership change. Many people invested a lot and don't want to lose it all. We owned there for almost 20 years and sold at a loss, but we got our money's worth out of it.

and so it continues. . . this morning an email: First a short reminder to confirm that in spite of certain rumors Sapphire has not been sold and is not for sale.. . . . a reminder letter has been sent to those Owners that were not in good standing in regards to the payment of their dues. By the 15th of October, those files will be conveyed to a collection agency in order to cure the default.

There was an article n the local papers saying that the sale was a reality but for whatever reason the court system was giving the two parties time to discuss it further. (No making heads or tails of what happens in the SXM courts) It would be nice if some of the owners got together and consulted an island attorney regarding an injunction to stop collecting the assessment until an owner is decided upon. One of the problems is that both sides can appeal a decision for seemingly forever. This could take some time.

Bizarre. The "New Owners To Be" (Sitbons) have no idea who put it there.

From what I understand this one can't be further appealed. The court wanted them to agree on how to change over but in the end I'd bet the court will TELL them.
