An article in the Daily Herald indicated that two men were shot in a Grand Case bar in a dispute over a women.

Anyone know which bar it was?

I'm wondering the same thing. I can think of at least a couple bars that it couldn't have been, since they are closed on Sundays but I can't find any other information on the web. Is anyone there now who can report?

I saw in another article that the bar was located at Rue Principal des Ecole, not sure where that is.

Looking at the SXM Google Maps, I think that perhaps this is the road that you turn off the main road, which eventually you bear left and then it dead-ends immediately to the right of Bistrot Cariabes. Which means most likely it was one of those local bars along that road. Still very scary. And apparently one man was shot and the other had his throat slit, but still two fatalities.

Sesame Kafe was/is one of the bars/restaurants down that road as well as another with a Pirate flag although we haven't been to either in several years.

It might also be on that road where the "car wash" is if you don't bear left to go towards Bistrot Caribes - I've seen several local hangouts in that area. Sorry for them and their families.

Main road of the school. We probably have all used it to go from the main road out of Orient to come out at Il Nettuno

Repaire du Pirate (place with the Pirate flag) is a more of a restaurant than a bar. To my knowledge, they don't have music or dancing.

OK, we were in there once very quickly for a drink although I never said anything about music or dancing?? We have been to Sesame Kafe several times and the food was very good and so was the entertainment.

The story in the paper said that the 'lady' involved was dancing with another fellow and that's what started the incident.

We were in Grand Case Saturday and Sunday evening. We left Blue Martini at 11:30-12 Saturday and there was nothing out of the ordinary. The vibe Sunday night was very somber in Grand Case. At that point we didn't know what happened. Eating @ Scooby's there was a young man visibly upset who knew one of the victims. He mentioned what had happened was distraught. Today at Mullet Bay, we met a young lady that lives on the island. She said the 2 men knew each other and went to school together. The shooter went home to get his gun and then returned to the party to confront the girl...Awful.

The establishment where the incident took place is Wok To Go. Two people were arrested in Grand Case on Sunday, and indicted in Guadeloupe on Monday.

Is there an English translation?

I'm not aware of an English translation. A copy-and-paste into Google Translate will give you a good, but not perfect, translation.
