Onions, cabbage, zucchini, yellow squash & (three links of HOT Itallian, five links of sweet, sliced & browned) sausage...
with some dried thyme... and chicken broth... S&P...
Smells wonderful... great soup!
Low fat, low carb... and delicious!
Excellent with a small sliced baguette for sopping!
I love when she makes this, especially on a cold day... like today!

What, no beans in that soup?? Sounds delicious anyway, tho.

I just made a pot of Ground Beef and Sauerkraut Soup. Pretty good with a dollop of sour cream on top. Also quite healthy when made with lean ground beef.

Yeah, David looked like that too when I told him what I was making! It really is delicious, but then I like sauerkraut...

Ok, I like sauerkraut, but know that I have to eat it all myself. But that sounds strange even to me. Sauerkraut soup??? That just sounds strange to me, would never have even considered it as an afterthought even. Might be good, but I could not eat a crock pot full, so will never know.

Eric, sausage, sauerkraut, onion & apple soup is to die for!
Or pork chops cooked over sauerkraut & apples, with caraway seeds in the crockpot! Yummm!

I know, you'll proabaly never get them since Carol doesn't like sauerkraut...
Like me with veal... Deb won't have it!

Brian, I love sauerkraut. A very, very long time ago when I had a huge garden and grew all my own vegetables I used to make my own sauerkraut. Nothing like the fresh homemade stuff.
