Shot from my deck last night. Antares rocket launch from Wallops Islands, VA in route to the Space Station. My guess it was probably 40 to 50 air miles away when I snapped the shot. It is not the best picture, but so neat to watch. Truly an October Sky experience for this Rocket Boy.

Ten minutes after the launch the harvest moon rose probably 5 degrees from where the rocket had just departed. I need to talk to NASA about planning launch windows better for picture taking - Now that would have been a picture. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />

We have seen a couple of space shuttle launches from our back yard here. Took a couple of pictures, not great ones, but interesting. Thanks for the pic!
