Well here we are at day seven. The finish of our first week. As I’ve described our group of family and friends as growing, it is know easily closing on 20. We will probably be breaking off into quite a few different groups for dinner. My reports will be from where I eat and I might add little ditties from their stories of their nights out. Today, Sunday, we had no new additions, but tomorrow will have 3 new additions who will be staying in our unit and dining with us. This morning started at around 7 with a torrential downpour not allowing us to see the new Marina residences building across the street from our D unit. It lasted 5 minutes and was gone. At 9 AM we were at the opening of the Grande Marche in Cole Bay for our second shopping trip there. And hour and 15 minutes and a lot of money later we were off to Le Sucriere, the terrific bakery, on Welfare road right at the FED EX sign. I sat in the car as parking there is an experience in itself. The line was out the door. While I awaited another wild rainstorm passed through for at best 5 minutes. Good thing the line was long enough so that the ladies were inside during it. We then unloaded the car, put the groceries away and were off to the pool. A lot of catching up with the newcomers on their years travels and goings on.
This evenings restaurant was Jimbo’s . Jimbo’s is a much more relaxed atmosphere than the restaurants we’ve been eating at. There’s pretty loud music(mostly 70,s 80s type, which I love), lots of people and a pool running through the restaurant. Three of the ladies started off ordering the 81oz. Margaritas pitcher, which they finished lovingly. They all agreed they were very good. The other drinks were good as well including my Elvis something, which was a banana, peanut butter drink with rum. I happen to love both banana’s and peanut butter so that could be why I love id. We shared some calamari as an appetizer and went straight to the entrees. I and another had the so called huge 8 oz hamburger. It didn’t seem like it was that big but was really delicious. One of the group had ribs, proclaiming them very good. Another had the Mexican Sheppard’s pie which was a clean plate when finished. Two of the ladies had goat cheese Quesada’s which they both thought were very good. We all enjoyed ourselves.
Three of us stopped in for some fun at the Hollywood Casino. Just some slot playing. Almost 2 hours later we left. I was the luckiest leaving a whole $100 richer while the other two won $20 and lost $40. But most of all we had fun. The machine I was at was across the aisle from the 2 girls and was loud. They kept turning around saying, “what in the world(different word) are you doing over there.”. I was having lots of fun as the way the machine was it would give you free spins if your spin turned up 3 bonuses. I got that about 4 or 5 times and that’s were I made my money. We enjoyed our time there, went home and went to sleep. After trying to find out who won the 2nd football game which last I saw on the TV at the casino was 45-45. No dining out as we are having a Pasta night for 27 people at one of our groups units. Hope her neighbors are friendly……Have a great day my friends….
