OK gang, I once thought we had a fool proof plan for next May, but it seems to have gone astray. Being fooled by the Windward Passage hotels web page re: room price, we were going to spend first night (May 1) and last night (May 23) there and take Speedy's direct to Virgin Gorda on May 2 and direct back to STT on May 23 for a May 24 flight out on Delta. Well, when I call Wind. Psg. the room rate was not $127. but $218. and $280. at Expedia. So, maybe first night/last night at Maria's in Roadtown, which gives us a chance to shop a bit. Our flight out of STT is at 1:52. RTFF has a 10AM ferry out of Roadtown to STT and Delta's web page says to be at the airport one hour before departure if you have checked bags. So, do you think we will make it on time via RTFF on Wed. 5/24? Should we bite the bullet and stay in STT? Aaaarrrrrgggghhh...

That's too close for comfort for me if indeed the ferry runs when it's scheduled. If it were me, I'd stay in STT on 5/23 - but I certainly lean on the conservative side of life. Plans A-B-C always.

I would always stay on Tortola our last night, then get up early and get to the ferry. It makes for a really long travel day. We now get a room in STT and hang at the pool as late as we can before heading to the airport. Makes a much more relaxed, not as stressful day.
The Emerald Beach is $179 and the Lindbergh Bay Hotel is $112 Both very close to the airport.

is Lindbergh Bay ok for an overnight stay before heading home? I've heard mixed reviews.

I'd like to be a jelly fish, cause jelly fish don't pay rent.

I have stayed at Emerald Beach, but not Lindbergh Bay, but plan to try it next time. There are several on here that have stayed at Lindbergh and say it is fine for one night.

We have been looking at the Green Iguana. Its not on the beach, but is closer to shopping and eats. Ultimately I think being on the water would be nicer.
