Well after arriving early afternoon we got our car, Unity waiting for us outside whisking us off to the office and 1,2, 3 in usual Michael fashion we were off. Checked in at Pelican stopped at the Peli Deli for a couple of Turkey sandwiches and then unloading the car. Had lunch and off to the pool for an hour or so. Oh....so nice and warm.
Dinner was going to be at Toppers but after seeing the new Greenhouse on Billy Folly Rd we decided to try it. Well it was a pleasant surprise to say the least. We arrived at about 7 and since there Happy Hour went til 7 we thought we had missed it and didn't say anything. When our server came over he said I think we can squeeze you in for Happy Hour even though you missed it by a little would you like that. Of course we would. All the drinks were fine with the Margarita's being the best of the lot. Since there were 7 of us we tried quite a few entrees. The fish and chips were the best received. The fish was grouper and lightly battered. I tasted a piece myself and it was really good. I felt like eating lite and had a Reuben which was surprisingly good for an island eatery. Others had a few different meals which included pasta and fish which were all received without complaints. All and all I'd give the Greenhouse a thumbs up for both food and service. A wonderful addition to Simpson Bay eating.
Looking forward to The Hideaway at La Vista this evening at 7. Always one of our favorites. Hope everyone enjoys my first of many nites of eating reviews. All responses will be happily received and any suggestions will be thought about on our next visit which might even be this trip.
