My favorite cocktail… “The Last Word” One part gin One part lime juice One part green Chartreuse One part maraschino liqueur Preparation: Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Served: Straight up; without ice Albeit tonight I think it should be called “Thank Goodness” The cocktail has a great back story... google it when you can - it is part of Americana

LOL - we always called it Green Dragon! It has been a family favorite passed down from my Grandmother. Never found a cocktail I liked with it until this one. Small point of clarification - It is the Carthusian monks found by St Bruno not the Benedictines. The Carthusian order is much more mellow that the Benedictines. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" /> Still today only three monks know the recipe. An internet friend who runs a food blog featured the drink a while back ago. Much nice pictures than mine. Check it out: The Last WordI have never been to Seattle, but it is a city on my must list. Food and wine (and sometimes photography) are my favorite things to do. I will have to check out Canlis when I make it to Seattle.
