Just curious as to whether Orient Beach was the first skinny dipping experience for most people who do so there or whether many people at Orient have have skinny dipped previous to coming to Orient Beach. Is Orient Beach your best experience or have there been better experiences. Have been going to Orient Beach for over a decade and have always wondered about the experience level of people there.

The beach at Club Orient was my first experience in 2012, and I enjoyed it so much that the clothing optional beaches (Cupecoy in particular) are one of the main reasons that keep us coming back to SXM rather than other Caribbean destinations. I look back now at how nervous I was that first time and now its second nature and enjoyable.

Not mine, but my wife's (meaning in public). We were on a cruise, took an excursion to Orient. She was reluctant to go. I told her I know you well enough that once I strip you will be naked in about a minute. She was, and she has been hooked ever since.

We had skinny dipped in our own pool at home, but we discovered Orient beach and Club Orient while on our first cruise in the late 1990s. By the time we were heading back to the ship we were planning our next year's vacation for a week on St. Martin staying at club O.

Three years later we visited Avalon Resort in Eastern West Virginia and have been members there ever since.

I have been skinny dipping for almost 30 years. My mother had trouble keeping clothes on me. I would frolic in pools, rivers, lakes, etc. During the summer, it seemed I was more nude than clothed. So, when I found out about SXM and Orient Beach, I didn't miss a beat. And apart from the absolutely gorgeous setting of Orient, there is the advantage of no risk of embarrassment for you or for others. Orient is the absolute best.

Club O was our first experience in many years. We stayed for a week in January '14, two weeks in January '15, almost three weeks in November '15 and we're here now for four weeks. There was never any question about removing our suits and in our opinion, "Nothing is Better" than Club O.

Our first experience was at Apollo Beach, Cape Canaveral NS, Florida, not Orient Beach, although we have been to Club O several times and will be there again in late January 2017.

Grew up on a lake. That was all we did. There were always beaches on Cape Cod that were secluded enough especially on the islands. 50+ years of enjoying for me.

We've lived as nudists for over 43 years. Skinny dipping just a part of our life. We discovered St. Martin, Club Orient and Orient Beach via the internet and then from people in the hot tub at the Terra Cotta Inn, in Palm Springs. We visited the island and Club O for the first time in 2001 and returned every year until 2010. Haven't been back since then but plan to return next year!

So far ... it's been the best experience of our extensive nudist travels. In 2009, our daughters, a SIL and the grandkids all vacationed at Club O for a week and they loved it! Last time we were there and it was the best experience ever, for them and for us!

My wife and I first experienced Orient Beach during a cruise in Jan 2011. We walked down to Club O, stripped to our birthday suit and felt completely at ease.
On our way back to the ship, we were planning for the next year. We stayed for 10 days in Feb 2012, 2 weeks in Feb 2013, 3 weeks in Feb 2015 and 4 weeks last Feb. We will be back Feb 2017 for another 4 weeks.

Orient Beach has been a great experience for us. We have made friends with people who return every year. You just can't beat the weather or the clothes free and accepting atmosphere of the beach goers.

We have been enjoying the freedom of nudism for 10 years now. We have sunned our buns in Jamaica, Mexico and Thailand. We belong to a local group and spend as many summer days as we can naked in the sun. We can't wait to get naked at Club Orient and yes, do some skinny dipping too!

First visit was the year before Luis with my brother and his wife who had visited prior to this.
Fist time experiencing nudity in public. The wife didn't abandon her safety wrap until our third visit in 2005.
After the first visit my comment was, "I'll never take another vacation where I can't take my clothes off."

First experience was in St. Martin, but not Orient. Rather, it was at Prune Bay. Happily, we've never looked back, and enjoy not wearing damp, sandy swimsuits.

I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

I didn't think cupecoy was a clothing optional beach?

It's not legally but people do it there.

We first came to St Martin in 2009 from a cruise ship, walked over to the "naked beach" to check it out like so many other "cruisers". I laughed and thought it was strange, but challenged my husband to drop his shorts and I would drop mine, thinking he would never do it! Of course he immediately did. I went into the water and nervously took off my suit, and then ran back out and put it back on lol! Since then we've only come to St Martin on land trips and the majority of our time is spent at Club O. We love the freedom, the people, the beauty and the vibe of the place!

Since our very first trip in 1973 we always knew Cupecoy to be the one beach on the Dutch side where clothing optional was never a problem. Times change and development has happened so while there may be properties there that frown on the practice, it's still done and mostly accepted without a hassle.

It's been done and mostly accepted in our opinion as well.

When I was a kid in the 1950s bathing suits were not allowed in the pools at the TMCAs in NYC.

I went skinny dipping once in junior high. Next time was about 20 years later on our first trip to SXM, took a lot to get the nerve up. Now can't wait to get to Orient.

January, I remember that. Of course, they weren't co-ed, and they were indoors then. I searched this, and the reasoning was that back then, swimsuits were woolen and the fibers clogged the filters.

I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

Our home pool was our first. First beach was in Guadeloupe. First beach in SXM was Bair Rouge years and years ago.
