A few years ago, we went to a buffet at a casino, on the north shore of Simpson bay.

Does anyone if there are any buffets on the island..??

Thanks... :circle

I'm having a senior moment and can't recall the name, but there's a place in Marigot on the waterfront that features an ALL YOU CAN EAT Lobster Buffet. It's not an inexpensive evening but the lobster (served cold but if they aren't slammed they will warm it for you....) is delicious as are all the other buffet offerings. I think it's two nights a week and the cover price includes a bottle of table wine. It's been there as long as we've been going to the island, although it was in another location in Marigot many years ago.

Having said all this, I'm thinking we haven't been there in 3-4 years (we just can't eat enough to justify the expense) and I hope it's still operational. Any time we've gone we have made reservations because it was very popular. I hope someone can chime in with more specifics.....

Now it comes to me - Claude's Mini Club - in a treehouse-like setting on the main road through the Marigot waterfront.

You are referring to Le Mini Club in Marigot. Is it still open Pat? I have not heard it mentioned lately.

Great minds and all that good stuff......

As to open or not, like you, I haven't heard anything lately but so many visitors have stopped dining in Marigot that it might be closed - or - it may still be one of those island places frequented mostly by residents. They never really advertised too much, and in honesty, the price the last time we were there was about fifty dollars a person and we decided with that trip we couldn't really justify driving all the way into Marigot when Skip Jacks was about the same price or perhaps a little less, closer to us, and more than enough Lobster to satisfy our appetites.

Claude Mini Club. Still open ,although we haven't been in years .All you can eat buffet Wed. & Sat. nights.Used to have music. Everything is delicious & home made from soups to desserts. I THINK they may limit you to 1 lobster now. Due to my limited French, I think this is what the menu said in Oct. when we were passing by. Still a good deal as far as I'm concerned. Appetizer, bottle of water & bottle of wine included in the price. If anyone knows any different regarding the lobster, I would appreciate the clarification.

Not really a buffet, but an "all you can eat": Melange in Port de Plaisance. It's fixed-price tabletop grilling with continuous replenishment of skewers of meats of your choice.

Topper's offers a breakfast buffet until 11:30. Quite filling and inexpensive. No, does not include lobster, just breakfast stuff.

Not sure why this was directed to me as I said nothing about Claude's.

Breakfast buffets are common at the big hotels - Sonesta, Divi, etc...Divi has an all you can eat BBQ buffet night with live island show Thursdays, check to confirm.
