Another day with plenty of sunshine. Humidity has increased and the Islands to the south are fading into the haze. Tennis (again) in the AM with an unscheduled player...huge iguana plopped onto the court as if he fell from the sky..but probably climbed the fence and then let gravity take over. It took 5 grown men over 10 minutes to convince this invader that he should find another court to play on. Finally after quite a bit of teeth showing and interesting iguana running patterns a few brooms directed him to the gate. After he left he turned and gave us a few head bobs as if to say "I'll be back" Anyway....Philipsburg was the choice for today (and the Cadisco to get fuel). Really didn't see anything different. Four biggies in port and the town was reasonably busy. Did partake of the $1.50 Carib and in so did my part to boost the local economy. Cadisco was Cadisco and seemed the cheapest on Island. 88 cents/liter and 1:1 of course. Back to Carrefour because somehow my condo stock of Carib keeps mysteriously decreasing. I assume someone comes in at night and takes a bunch... Here's a pic of the fish section for the fish question person: Fresh Whole snapper/local grouper Fresh whole Mahi Also had fresh cleaned whole snapper next to the mahi I decided to try this fish as the price was very reasonable. Still trying to figure out how to grill it

Carrefour.... ..and reading a French weekly newspaper they had French Marines doing exercises and they did a practice evacuation with the two French ships that have been in Simpson bay for most of the week...200 troops were evacuated by vehicles from an evac ship.....where did this take place you ask? Well it was Happy Bay the end of last week...pic of a huge evac ship hitting the shore and troops being evacuated. Nice quiet day at HB (weed wacking/clearing at entrance to ruined condo at top of pic)
