We flew JetBlue for the first time. Flew out of Portland Maine with a change at JFK. Our flight down was excellent.

Our flight back was awful. Same airline, same plane, same flight attendants. Go figure. On the way back we ended up in the last row by one of the other lavatories. I had the aisle seat. The second lavatory was inoperable so we had a continuous stream of visitors for 4 hours backed up by the seat, grabbing hold of the backrest rocking my seat. The television screens did not work for the in-flight movie. Then…. when we got to JFK we had to land away from a jetport bridge, wait ½ hour for a bus, then go through immigration. We pick up our luggage at a carousel that was serving four flights at the same time with a jam of people. We finally get our luggage go through customs and then we look for a JetBlue customer service rep to tell us how to get our luggage rechecked and where to go to catch our connecting flight. No CSR. We finally ask another traveller who tells us we have to catch the airtrain and bring our luggage to another terminal. We arrive at the JetBlue terminal and find a CSR who tells us how to recheck our bags. This we do. Then we follow the crowd to security. Jetlagged, tired, and now in a hurry to catch our connecting flight it doesn’t dawn on us that we left the secured portion of the terminal. So through security we go again. We lose two bottles of liquor we bought at the duty-free store and carried on the first flight. They told us we could go back and put them in our bags but we can’t put them in our checked bags because we already checked them. Not Happy! Fortunately the rest of our trip home was uneventful. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/cloud.gif" alt="" />

Part II to follow (much better)
