this past friday, i attended a sxmcooks workshop and had the great pleasure of meeting luci frye, pam (her assistant), and boss (luci’s dog).

at 10am, i arrived at luci’s beautiful home and was greeted with a fresh fruit juice jamaican style w/rum, made compliments of pam- delicious! prior to cooking, luci served indian sev noodles/street food. it’s difficult for me to describe, but here’s a link to give you an idea:

it was a simple dish with unique flavors that worked for me.

then the cooking… i can’t say enough how much i enjoyed cooking with luci and pam!

lunch was finished around noon. my boyfriend, who did not partake in the cooking, came back as a guest once all was ready. he was greeted with one of pam’s delicious drinks and indian sev noodles and enjoyed it as much as i had. then, we enjoyed the results. it was incredible, especially coupled with the wine and the good company of luci.

i didn’t include recipes, as they are not mine to share. but if you enjoy to cook or enjoy food in general, then sxmcooks is definitely worth trying. it was a highlight of my trip.
