My mom is going to Egypt this fall and I am looking for ideas on what to get her for her birthday that would be useful for this trip. She is a long time adventure traveler so she has most of the basics. Looking of something specific to Egypt including works of fiction. Any suggestions?

Give her a book of Egyptian to English translation. This will help her read certain scripts that travelers understand when only guides explain.
