Hi All,

Will be visiting during the July full moon, but getting conflicting dates on the parties...some websites say Sat, July 8th, others July 9th.

Can anyone clarify and also recommend which location would be best for a group of 6 guys celebrating a 40th birthday...Bomba, Trellis, foxys??

Thanks in advance,

A couple of links show July 9, we will have 6 and most likely it is Trellis Bay. I am not one for 4:30 AM as shown in BVI Newbie article.

You might cross reference and double check the dates as you get closer. I failed to do that last July and we were off by a day apparently.

A quick google I just did had one of the top three results showing July 8, 2017. I imagine the trellis bay market is the correct one, but be aware there might be conflicting dates out there.

We have to turn the boat in on 7/10 this year, but maybe we will see you there. Especially if it turns out to actually be on 7/8.

Thank you all. Especially for the links to Bomba and Trellis. Looking forward to our first full moon party!

I'm in my late 40's and have been to both parties with other adults within the last few years. I think you will enjoy Bomba's more than Trellis if your goal is an adult bucket list worthy "party".

I'm actually sad I missed attending one "in the good 'ole days". Alas, I was born in the wrong generation.

Plusses about Trellis - better food, beautiful fire balls, close to boat

Plusses of Bomba's - unique tea tradition, better band for dancing, crazier party crowd with possible "spring break" type antics for entertainment

I was there ,back in 2001 & 2002 & 2003 .it was worth the efforts except don't expect too much while it can be overrated ,just having made it is worth the bragging rights
