The party ends and we retreat to bed….its all a wee bit foggy. Excited to see my gal pal in a few hours. Up we get to partake in our ilon ritual ( aka- coffee with baileys followed by carib in a coozie) … another glorious day in paradise awaits.

Ok we have to get our baby Reef Song to the dock this morning…she is lonely and needs some company. After a brief regroup and hair of the dogness we head down. Reef Song has lines placed, fenders on and we motor in to slip 21 ( sorry Chris) all secure with the gracious help of the wonderful dock boys….hello Leroy and Tito … new guys Ian and Kyle are just sweet .

We settle in , get plugged up hatches open and up to the pantry for a delicious BLT with egg triple decker for breaky…chill aboard for a bit then its off to the enormous international airport to fetch our friend…

can you imagine waiting for disembarkation of passengers in this viewing deck with a beer anywhere else…crazy..

Air sunshine arrives and Bridget is finally here after all the planning and excitement of the last several months .Welcome to Virgin Gorda …here is your cold carib….off we go.

First stop Hog Heaven for a beverage and to marvel at the incredible view…oh my goodness this place has literally tripled in size since the first visit we made on its debut year. Blondie is cashing in on the tourism card big time…There is even a park with hammocks across the street. Apparently the cruise ship peeps are making it a stop now along with the Baths!!

Good for BVI business but I preferred the first visit Ward and I made when we were the only non belongers at the bar, had a welcome /first time visitor, free Bushwaker , drank for a few hours , had a delicious meal of the best ribs ever and the total bill was $50…..

On next to our awaiting friends….settle in and have a very relaxing afternoon and catch up . Guess what….we finally ate lobster pie …along with fantastic steak cooked by the amazing Mr Willis- his cooking skills are incredible. He has been hiding them all these years but the secret is now out my friend .

Next morning we decide a beach day was in order. Ward thought a work day on Reef Song was in order so off Bridget and Kim head in the jeep, all the necessities packed. Beach towel, sunscreen, cozies and cooler full of cold ones.

To say the day was magical is a huge understatement.

We tear ourselves away from this wonder of the world of a beach

and have another lovely meal with dear friends….Many glasses of red wine later down we go for good night Irene.

Morning brings flat calm and Anegada dreamin…we are off…

Awesome motor over. No chance of raising the rags today. All secure in our favorite anchor spot . Its fairly busy around. Ended up by the end of the day all balls were taken and we counted 15-20 others at anchor. BVI tourism is booming.

Oh no we are running out of provisions- beer. Solo dinghy trip I make into the dock and proceed to “ get-r-done” Hello Wonky dog. Reservations all secured for next night at 7- need to order by 4 PM. A beer is in order before I make the long treak to the ARH. It is hot hot hot in here and not a breath of air.

Ok now get my bearings and another beer to hydrate and off to the beer store . Oh my, how the heck will I get this all the way back to the dinghy. Not many people around so I opt for two 6 packs of cold Carib and off I go.

It is unbelievable hot … back aboard to rehydrate and spend the most glorious evening watching the anegada sunset, swimming, chatting and simply enjoying my life. Tunes on blue tooth speaker compliments of B- wow you are incredible. We sing, we swim, we gossip, we cry a bit and we solve all the problems of the world. …

Another magical day behind us we flake out in our bed knowing tomorrow will bring an equally spectacular journey.

We awake to yet another windless day … oh my… I feel kinda like I am in movie…I need to pinch myself.

Oh my goodness....I just realized I forgot a very important part in my report.....after the VG beach day Bridget and I were walking by the pool and this voice called to us from within.....hi Colleen ( orange burst) .we spent a glorious visit soaking our troubles away and chatting ....you , your hubby and crew are just awesome. ...

One of my favourite parts of my trips down there are meeting up,with new friends , especially of the TTOL variety ...what's the saying again? Birds of a feather? Cut from the same cloth? It is very very true..

Hoping to meet more of you in a few weeks.
