Hello - I will be visiting for one day from a cruise ship on 5/16. Would like a resort suggestion please. Looking for nice, easy to walk in beach, wifi, chair/umbrella..does not need to be all-inclusive. I know the Westin offers day passes but have been told the beach at Dawn beach is very rough and hard to enter/exit??? Also reading that Great Bay is not a good option due to pollution. So any and all thoughts/suggestions are appreciated <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />

I believe Divi resort sells day passes. Orient would be my choice for all of your criteria. No problem finding a place to rent chairs/umbrella and a nice long beach to walk.

I would spend the day at LaPlaya on Orient! Wouldn't spend the day at a resort.

I dont recall Dawn Beach being too rough to enter..aybe different now... id take a taxi to Orient or Mullet (or both).. no need to pay a day fee... all the beaches have food, drink, umbrellas... and nekkid people on Orient :-)

If you have lunch at Mary's Boon you qualify for free umbrella and beach chairs. They have wifi but I don't know if there is a charge for it. Check their website and you will see that you are on the beach.

I agree 100%, Kim! Actually, any of the larger beach restaurants on Orient would fit the OP's criteria.
