My wife and I have just returned from our extended vacation to the island. Stayed in Orient Village and spent quite a bit of time roaming the island as well as visiting with old and new friends. Rather than post a lengthy trip report, I have begun to post stories on my blog about our travels. Have already posted five stories and have close to two dozen more that I wrote while on the island. 3 of them feature quite a few photos I took this year. This year we both had some significant medical problems right before we were to depart, but both our doctors told us the best thing to do would be to take the trip, so we did! Both of us did manage to pick up something new on the flight down and had to visit a doctor on the French side, but the multitude of medicines he prescribed seemed to do the trick and we only lost a few beach days. Thanks for the stories. I've read the Bird Park one so far. Great place to visit. Next time will look for "Larry". Glad you took your Doctor's advice and went. The French Doctor's are pretty good(from experience).
