Hi,
I was hoping someone could fill me in on the Caladium and Croton buildings at SXM Resort and Marina. We have a two bedroom reserved at the Caladium. Is the view nice from there? Is it better at the Croton? Just hoping to get an idea before we arrive. Thanks for any help.

Caladium has a great view of the Bay and the Harbor. If you have a unit on the second or third level. Stayed there two weeks one year. Had a great time watching the activity down below. (Bring binoculars) Also the Deck above the pool is right there and is excellent to watch the sunset.

Own at Caladium. Units are two story. Upper units have a slight obstructed view of Simpson due to The Villas Building, little more obstruction in lower unit. Upper units designated as "A", Lower as "B". "A" units are a little smaller in square footage because of enclosed porch area - "B" units open to walkway. As indicated bring binoculars. You should have decent views of Simpson Bay, airport, Simpson Lagoon. Units completely refurbished about four years ago. Excellent access to C pool from lower unit along walkway. C11 unit (end unit) also has views across the resort out to Caribbean (watch cruise ships). My ID photo is view from C11 before The Villas Building constructed.

If you have a 2 BR in Caladium you have both theA and B rooms as there are no actual 2BR rooms. You will have 2 apartments with an inside stairway between the 2.

I used to own C14A & B. The higher the room numbers the higher the actual building is and your view across the bay will not really be obstructed by the newer Marina Buildings.

As mentioned, the A room is a bit smaller, but will have a higher and better view. The B room has the easier access to the pool.

You will enjoy the rooms.
