They were a Poker Run stop but it was also their last day. We were at the bar Friday for a night cap and they mentioned then the weekend would be their last. Got the impression they were tired of dealing with the hassles of the BVI government processes and were ready to move on to something new.

That's too bad. Very nice people. They went way out of their way to help me find a missing wallet, after I had paid them!

When we were there in early April, they had a lunch menu on the door, but they weren't open. Seeing as how it was the week of the regatta, I figured that wasn't a good sign.

Really sorry to hear that! We are in BVI all winter on our boat Goose and a stop at Scaramouche is really a special thing. Hopefully the message that they send will be heard by BVI authorities. Prices seem to go up too much every year with no connection to service or quality. Competition is a good thing.

I'm growing old but not growing up!

Heard from expat friends that getting and keeping good help was a constant struggle.

Saw K and R today on the beach and , as said, getting good help did them in..they were doing everything themselves despite paying for help. Two tired puppies looking to San Diego for their next adventure. I warned them that the US might be worse than the BVI's when it comes to red tape tying up outsiders..but wish them all the luck and thanks for some memorable meals and times..
