Just an observation. Have been bobbing around here for 17 days. Have seen 2 boats with large numbers on their hull. I was told that moorings was going to have all their power cats registered. Did not happen. 2 fishing license, rod rental.
Still seeing most boats trolling or spinning. Am I just paranoid? Can the govt confiscate your boat? I am renting... Don't want to buy it and the govt own it. WTF?

They are not going to confiscate a boat you don't even own. I have never seen any fishing police. Or fish off the coast of St.John or STT, no license required. I'm sure someone is going to post the one guy who went to jail for a few days from St.Thomas, this story is probably 10 years old. He was also a commercial fisherman.
