The old scam that is making the rounds again with timeshare owners is now being used on SXM artists.
The scam involves the scammer sending the seller a check for an amount in excess of the asking price and asking for paintings to be shipped at once and/or the excess payment refunded at once. Classic scam. If you are an artist or any other SXM business person and get such an offer, do NOT trust it. These scams have been around for decades and many people are victimized by them every year.
