In case you missed Part I the link is here:
http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/s...e=3#Post1182607Memeory recall and available somewhat clear thinking time is at a premium at the moment so I have to do this in manageable "chunks" <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Blush.gif" alt="" />!
July 2 : Up early and anchor up around 7:15 AM, good wind at Anegada and time to make some tracks to JVD!! While motoring past Sabore, a Privilege 65 or so we were informed they were going to race us! Well, we left the dink down to facilitate easier fishing and they finally overtook us about 18 miles into the leg.
Nice sail, quartering seas and a bit laborious at the helm to keep us on course.
We made White Bay in a bit over 3 hours.
We anchored in White Bay and swam into Soggy Dollar Bar, beautiful day and time to chill.
Mic was great as usual as was the rest of the staff, had a great tuna melt and simply laid low, some of the crew headed down to One Love and the teens managed to find ice cream and do some shopping.
Utopia and crew arrived later as did Catatonic and Blue Moon and sanctuary, even Long Overdue and a few other friends were sharing the fun, a nice, mellow afternoon!
Dirk took the girls out for their final tubing session of the trip, all the way to Great Harbor so he could check out of BVI’s at Customs.
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y238/saildoggie/BVI610/P7010975.jpgWe motored over to CGB as Malcolm’s “Sailing Pass” was up, all his fun tickets had been punched but not quite, we had dinner at Elm Bar to follow!
Anchored close in by the swim area and chilled aboard for a while.
Wonderful dinner at Elm among friends, nice evening and to bed early in the AC!
LOVE the way the AC drowns out that hideous DJ at Quitos that goes all hours before the roosters take over!!
Chillin’ has taken over, we had breakfast at Rhymers with Mal and Candace and some of the crew had Rhymers do a bit of laundry for them, a trip to Bobbys for some supplies and ended up chillin at CGB all day!
Turned into a lay day, we holed up in the corner at Rhymers, Manpot came down to join the fun, the teens were kayaking, hitting the trampoline and being good girls while the adults indulged, had a nice lunch and some good laughs.

http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y238/saildoggie/BVI610/?action=view¤t=Produce_48.mp4We ended up chillating back to Galeaux, Walt and Ruth from Blue Bayou stopped by and we enjoyed a couple bottles of bubbly, great fun!
We eventually lit the propane BBQ to grill some chicken breasts served with rice, lying real low all around!
With hatches closed, genset and AC on the all night music could not be heard at all inside Galeaux, got some much needed rest!
Morning…dunno what day it is anymore…oh, hey, someone says happy 4th. Of July!
Coffee and internet fun while the crew slowly all got up, then up anchor and head over to the CGB dock for water and some dinghy fuel.
The plan was Monkey Point then Lee Bay and alternate Trellis Bay…
Tommy takes the helm going to weather, target is Kingfish Banks with 3 trolling lines and trick lures out, a natural leg to tack and lay Monkey Point.
Tommy at the helm, PRICELESS:
http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y238/saildoggie/BVI610/?action=view¤t=Produce_49.mp4Tommy steered very well, Andy took over for a bit and we sailed right over the banks and not a bite on the trolling lines, called a lay line we tacked over, perfectly, good job Andy!
We got a great NPT mooring at Monkey Point and got gear out for the crew, good snorkeling pretty clear, saw a few turtles, tons of baitfish, Parrot Fish, Tangs, Sear gent Majors and all the regular guys, nice stop, Made some Tuna/Avocado wraps and chilled for a bit…..

http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y238/saildoggie/BVI610/P7030375.jpgWe anchored up close in about 5.5 ft. of water by De Loose Mongoose, a bit North of Utopia’s favorite spot, traded greetings with Capt, Kirk, a Moorings captain aboard Broad Reach II our new neighbor for the night.
The crew scattered, some took the dink to the market, teens split on the kayak and I chilled for a bit checking emails and all, ahh, quiet time, put the mesh sunshades down and chilled for a bit.
Sailpuppy, Bert and Racthet had a Griz sighting at Trellis, we hopped in the kayak and headed for the bar at De Loose Mongoose, talked with John and learned that Griz and Ruth had already moved on, met Colin, he was waiting for Geoff Holt to arrive at EIS and was delayed on guess what airline..Starts with an L…
Last Resort was the dinner of choice, made a reservation for the group and were in for quite a treat with one-man band, David entertaining!
Really gotta wait for TriciaH’s “money” pics from dinner and antics that night to continue to Part III of this tale.
