Just Back from Carnival Triumph trip to Saint John, NB and Halifax. Depart Sat July 13 with a large group of family and friends.
Sunday nice day at sea. Relax poolside and get accustomed to ship.
Monday at Saint John. Weather cloudy and cold. Walked the town. Went to the museum. Not bad. Not impressed with SJ
Tuesday at Halifax. Did not do Peggys Cove excursion with ship priced at $39 US. Made a deal on the pier with a private van, $20 per person US. 3.5 hour city tour and Peggys Cove and a stop at the Citidel. Weather from Saint John followed us. Cloudy rainy and cold. Was told it was 89 on Monday. Too bad. Enjoyed the day anyway.
Wednesday day at sea starts off in fog and cold. Spot at pool covered in towels. Day gets nicer as we get further south. Cocktails and relaxation helped the day. LOL
Thursday arrived in NY and disembarcation goes smoothly.

Just a few thoughts. Last year first cruise on RCL Enchantment of the Seas. Liked RCL better because of a service issue. Feel that RCL does a better job than Carnival. Food fine, accomadations OK, liked room on RCL better. Bathroom on Carnival Triumph was a little bigger. I could shower with both feet in the shower this trip. LOL
The biggest service problem was trying to get back on the ship in Saint John. During reboarding they just stopped the line from boarding. Stood in line for 1.5 hrs without any announcement. Never said a word or apology. Overall just felt that service wasn't as good as last year on RCL.
One last thought. Glad we went but will never travel north again. Seems like we are Carribbean lovers.
