So it's come down to this! Our last full day........sad to even contemplate as I sit here at 6am trying to decide what to do today.

And it's so easy to get distracted as there's a huge private yacht just off the beach here and a beautiful Royal Caribbean ship passing by, too. The Lady Sara, ( sorry my Sarah - no 'h' on this one) all four decks of her above the water line that I can see with the naked eye with all her toys in tact - at least one (maybe two? ) speed boats and two or three wave runners that I can easily see from shore and who knows whatever goodies it has on board - is lying at anchor probably awaiting the first bridge opening this morning.

And oh, goody - I can now go pack again. I so love packing! The art of trying to squeeze back into the suitcases all the unworn clothes and belongings I was so certain we both needed down here. Don't you just think after all these years and trips I'd figure it all out and get it right? And that said, we have come down for two weeks with carry-ons only! But not this time, for sure. Afterthought - packing done and one full suitcase of unworn clothes- hello...........

Noontime - and Johnny's hungry - that tradesman thing again! I think we're going to use up some of the left-overs in the fridge so the maid will have less to clean up.

And then the last few hours out by the pool chatting with some new arrivals and saying goodbyes to some lovely new acquaintances. Back to the room for the last piña colada - the one a day thing worked perfectly as we finished all the cocoa lopez and rum and there's only about an inch of pineapple juice left for breakfast.

Dinner tonight was Antoine's by the Sea on Front St., Philipsburg. This was our only trip in to town over the whole three weeks and if it wasn't for that grand mariner soufflé at Antoine's calling our names, chances are we wouldn't have made it in at all. I can't believe there was no incentive to shop this trip and no visits to Caribbean Gems which really was a first.

It's been a great time here on the island and now I'm gonna' say a little prayer the travel day doesn't ruin all that accumulated good will I'm feeling right now.

Respectfully,

pat
