Good for them. Stopping illegal immigration is the first step in reducing the crime problem, IMO.

This type of thing on SXM is common and called Control Inspections.
The Herald dubbed it a raid to add a little spice to it, and it has been going on for years. Since 2010, every 2 yrs or so they focus on it a little bit to show they are making some effort towards it, but it's all for show...
