Highlights of our eighth trip to the island:

Enjoyed a gathering of TTOL'ers on 3-28 at BBB. Thanks again to Minnesota for organizing it.

Island was quieter than in previous years. No traffic problems except when the bridge was open, fewer plane arrivals (none from Delta), fewer boats in Simpson Bay, no trouble getting a dining table. Stayed at Pelican/SB Resort, very quiet.

Mrs. came down with the usual sun poisoning, went to the Simpson Bay Medical Clinic and the Doc gave her pills and ointment. Took care of the problem thankfully.

Skeeters weren't too bad, but still take and use repellant.

Invented a new cocktail "RazbyDouDou", raspberry vodka, V8 Fusion Cranberry/Blackberry, and a splash of Ma Dou Dou Vanilla/Banana rum.
Loved them around the pool, but suspect they won't taste the same in dreary Michigan.

Lamented the loss of rib night at Lady C, but, found a more than worthy substitute. Mark's Place next to Grand Marche in P-burg. Loved the ribs there, problem was we didn't go there until the last night on the island. Will be our first stop next year.

Made the annual trip to Royal Jewelers in P-burg & Vince and Rahki. Seems our daughter has inherited Mom's bling DNA.

Enjoyed several trips to Karakters, very good vocalist and sax man on Friday night.

Got hooked on the almond croissants for breakfast at Bon Apetite at the Pelican/SB Resort.

Enjoyed a day at Palm Beach on Orient. Lunch was very good, the salmon in the salmon salad was uncooked as it was supposed to be, we're not sushi fans and a rookie mistake on my part. We enjoyed the more quiet atmosphere at Palm Beach.

Saw rainbows for the first time - two over Simpson Bay and one (a double) which looked like it ended at BBB. Should have looked for the pot of gold.

Saw the green flash at sunset twice.

That's it until next year. Regards to all
