I agree. I don't know how anyone can look at these pictures, watch the videos, and read these articles and think they will be vacationing on SXM in December. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" /> These poor people need all the resources they can get....food, water, electricity, supplies, a roof over their heads. They certainly don't need tourists there at this time using up all these things as well. I'm sure whatever small things are opening are needed by the island people, not by us wanting to sit on the beach.

Front page of today's NY Times is real news...puts life in prospective. Not a devisive issue. Not about us. I read it and realized that my memories of almost 20 years of happiness on the island , making everlasting relationships pale in comparison to the future of lives of those who made that possible. Whatever we can do will not erase their reality. Support and love go a long way.
