Went over to orient today from saphire. It was raining when we left saphire, but took the venture anyway, and hit NO rain on orient. Sat at Waikiki Beach, and almost dropped when the beach attendent asked for 25 bucks for two chairs and umbrella. i never paid so much for chairs and umbrella, but he answered me that he doesnt set the price. We stayed anyway and enjoyed the day there, even though the water was a bit rougher than normal, and there was plenty of seaweed. Really turned out to be a great day. I did venture down the beach a bit, and found Palm Beach...and am really looking forward to spending some time there over the next couple of weeks. The ride back to saphire was an adventure...instead of going back the way we came, we decided to go back through philipsburg and Simpson Bay. Don't know what we were thinking, totally forgot about the Regatta Party, and hit THE worst traffice i've ever seen on the island....but made it back to our ''home'' safe and sound...just a little later than we expected!.
Tonite, we went to Granduca, since i've been craving the peppercorn filet since last year. Enzo was a great host, as always, and the four meals were cooked to PERFECTION. Hands down, this restaurant is now the BEST- MUST DO restaurant on the island!!!!! Will be back at least a oouple more times this trip. More as the weeks progress.
