Spotted Eagle Rays (two) : Manchioneel Bay, Cooper

Loggerhead AND Hawksbill Turtles: Manchioneel Bay, Cooper

More Turtles: Benures Bay, Norman; Great Harbour, Peter; Little Harbour, Peter; Caves, Norman; Bight, Norman; Indians; Mountain Point, VG; Green Cay, Little Jost (I highly recommend going to the Caves and swimming all the way around the corner into the Bight. Beautiful coral with white sand surround. Turtles everywhere.)

Octopus: Mountain Point, VG

Tarpon: Monkey Point, Guana; Mountain Point, VG; Indians

Barracuda: Caves, Norman; (didn't see many at all this trip)

Ramora (large sharksuckers) - literally followed us from Benures to Caves to Indians...two of them. Stayed right under the boat....loved our leftovers. Spooky looking but very shy and harmless.

Stingrays - just about everywhere

Nurse Shark - Mountain Point, VG

The water was crystal clear everywhere except Monkey Point. More fish than we've ever seen before...everywhere ...and best of all we had it all to ourselves. We literally didn't see more than 6-7 boats out the whole week and always had the snorkel sites completely to ourselves. Incredible. Will make a point to go this time of year again! But next time we will take bug spray! Yikes! And where were the birds???? Didn't see hardly any gulls!

And, yes, we have decided we must have had gills in a former life...as we snorkeled at least 2 and sometimes up to 4 times each day! Took lots of underwater photos that I hope to have developed soon.

Wishing we were still there......
