My husband and I have been going to SXM for over 20 years. We are planning our next trip in April. We have not heard much about Esmeralda or Coco. We are very concerned about the place and the people we got to know over the years and was looking for some updated information.

My understanding is that Esmeralda will not reopen until around the summer. Coco was definitely blown away, along with the rest of the Orient restaurants.
