Possibly you hit the website at a time they were doing updates to schedules, prices, etc. It seems with Delta their site is not always accurate when it comes to seats and availability. Do let us know what you find out.
BTW, the call back option is much better than sitting on hold.

I booked Delta flights YYZ>ATL>SXM for mid Feb on Wednesday night with no problem. They may be getting filled up by Canadians like us who have no other reasonable way to get there. Air Canada, Westjet, Air Transat, and I *think* Sunwing have all cancelled everything due to a lack of accommodations.
